The only constant in life is change and, as so often happens, life throws us curveballs! This is what happened to me and how Intaba came in to being.
I was working as a radiographer in Cape Town during lockdown in 2020 when, on a day off from my hectic shifts at the hospital, I went out for a walk and severely injured my ankle.
I was devastated when my surgeon informed me that the recovery time for my injury was a year to 18 months and that essentially I needed to choose a new career.
Years ago I had worked as a medical rep for a number of multinational companies including Johnson & Johnson and Lilly pharmaceuticals. I loved the sales and marketing aspect but did not want to return to corporate. I had aspired to starting my own business for years but the timing was never right and more importantly, I had not yet found the right product.
Not only do I suffer from seasonal allergies, I am also allergic to quite a few medications as well as preservatives, Sulphites, Nitrates and Benzoates in particular. For this reason I am always on the lookout for natural products which actually deliver on their promises. When I was introduced to BluLyte, I knew instantly that this product range was exactly what I’d been searching for.
Not only was it time for a new business, it was also time to look at a new approach to sanitising and treating infection.
In 2021 when the opportunity arose for me to secure distribution rights for the BluLyte Range of products, I registered Intaba Distributions and today we are proud suppliers of all of their products which includes BluLyte Wound Care, BluLyte Sanitiser & Disinfectant, ULA skin as well as VetMed.

I was recently introduced to the wound care and Ula skin after care which is really helping for eczema on my hands.
