Diesel sadly ran into a river which we suspect is contaminated with chemicals from a nearby factory.
All his paws started to burn almost immediately upon entering the river. The acid was so harsh, some of his flesh was burnt to the bone within seconds.
Diesel’s owner had a choice: Euthanasia or VetMed. Together with the veterinarian’s advice, our team soaked his paws in our Wound and Skin Care solution for 10 minutes at a time with each bandage change.
The smell and slough reduced substantially after the first application. Although he did lose the toes on one front paw due to the loss of flesh, all the other feet have healed well. In a matter of six weeks, he is already up and about chasing bunnies.
